Meet The New Profile Page: A Better Way To Showcase Your Skills

Our latest rounds of improvements are to the profile page and, what were, the skill pages. Previously, each person’s skill had its own page but we have now encompassed skills into one profile page. So everything you need to know about a skilled person and their skills will be on one easy to use profile page.

Enhance Your Skill

You can enhance each of your skills by showcasing examples of your work in, what is now, a skill portfolio.

No Impact on Directory Listing or Search

The improvements to the profile have no impact on the search or directory listings. Users searching for skilled people will still be able to find people based on their individual skills, as always.

Reintroduction of Direct Connections

We have also reintroduced direct connections. So now as well as growing your SkillPages network by importing your other networks like Facebook and Twitter, you can continue to build that network by directly connecting with other SkillPage platform members.

Verifications

Members can now add an extra layer of trust to their profiles by verifying their profile with Facebook and LinkedIn.

“Ask About”

With this round of improvements SkillPage members can now ask their friends and connections about skilled people whom those friends and connections know.

New Browsing Bar

We have now made browsing through profiles even easier with the introduction of a new browsing bar. This new browsing bar, which sits above a member’s profile, is activated when the viewer comes from the listings directory or from search results. It removes the need for users to use the back button by facilitating carousel type viewing of profiles.

We hope you like the new additions, if you have any questions or feedback please let us know.
